Chemistry CLEP Test

The Chemistry CLEP Test covers the material that is taught in a one-semester class at the 101 college level. This test covers the different types of matter, reaction types, equations, stoichiometry, equilibrium, kinetics, and thermodynamics. You should be able to apply the theories to new information on the test. You will be given access to a calculator and a periodic table when you take the test. These are built into the computer software for the testing center. You will not be able to bring your own.

You will need to answer 75 questions in 90 minutes. There is no penalty for guessing on the test and there are some pretest questions included that are not scored.

To get a passing score, you will need to be able to identify specific terms and facts relating to chemistry. You will also need to be able to use math and common sense to solve chemistry problems with every day solutions.
